Multiple Sites on same Server with IIS 6 (with Folder Mappings) - Links are wrong

Hi,

After much troubleshooting and reconfiguring IIS I have got 2 mojoportals running on the same machine sharing the same database. I have followed all the advice I have read on this site for setting this and had to go a step farther and copied the contents of my master site's /Data/Site/1 to all the /Data/Site/1 and /Data/Site/2.

So now now they both display and seem to share most of the data right except in the second site's links are all wrong through out the site. Instead of everything being localhost/sitefolder its localhost/sitefolder/sitefolder for everything including home. The master site i scompletely fine. How can I fix this? any suggestions?

Re: Multiple Sites on same Server with IIS 6 (with Folder Mappings) - Links are wrong

Hi,

I am quite lost as to what it is that you did. Did you install mojoPortal into two different IIS websites and rigg both installations to use one database?

Running multiple installations with 1 database definitely isn't supported. If this is what you did, it would be a crap shoot to figure out why it isn't working correctly.

Running multiple sites inside one installation is supported and actually quite easy to do. Is this what you were trying to do but it didn't work out for you?

I hope I can help further after understanding what it is you did and what it is you are trying to accomplish.

Thanks,
Joe D.

Actually I was just try to setup multiple sites on one IIS configuration. I realized this isn't setup to share conent between 2 sites though so I scrapped that idea and its not a problem anymore.
