Can't get this to work

When posting in this forum, please try to provide as many relevant details as possible. Particularly the following:

  • What operating system were you running when the bug appeared?
  • What database platform is your site using?
  • What version of mojoPortal are you running?
  • What version of .NET do you use?
  • What steps are necessary to reproduce the issue? Compare expected results vs actual results.

You may also want to review the installation or upgrading documentation.

I cant get my site to work I keep getting the following error message 

Server Error in '/' Application.

The resource cannot be found.

Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly.

Requested URL: /Default.aspx

 

I am not a programmer at all but have been able to install other cms with success,  I am using 1and 1 hosting with a microsoft shared server,  I am not a tech guy so if you could dumb it down for me i would appreashate it.,

Hi,

It is difficult to help not knowing what you have done, there is no clue from a simple page not found error. Possibly the files are not uploaded to the correct root folder. Possibly your site is not configured for ASP.NET.

To be honest, while I do recommend 1and1 for dedicated servers I have only ever heard bad things about their shared hosting.

mojoPortal requires ASP.NET 3.5 SP1

probably 1and1 shared hosting also requires medium trust configuration as most shared hosting does.
