Different Skin For the Blog Entry Details - Please help

Hi,

I've developped a skin for mojo portal and its worked out well.

I've got blog excerpts  (basically news) that are showing in a block on the home page. When you click the "read more" link, I would like that details page to have a different skin. I don't see an option in the blog feature settings. Is this possible?

The problem comes up because the home page has a different skin than the rest of the site.

Re: Blog Post details page - different skin

Here is the site with the skin applied:

http://municipality.mightycommunity.com

If you click on the news Item to the left, I would like it to go to the skin for the contact us page, not the home page skin.

Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Blog Post details page - different skin

Hi Jason,

Sorry but there is currently not a way to make the blog detail pages use a different skin than the one used by the page containing the blog.

What you might try is create a bog on a different page than the home page (don't try to move the existing blog to another page, just create a new one). Then on your home page use a Feed Manager module to consume the feed of the blog. So the feed manager would be your "News" module. Then you can apply whatever skin you like on the page containing the blog. Links from feed manager will go to the blog posts.

Hope it helps,

Joe
