New Installation Broken

Hi everyone,

I installed mojoportal today using the Microsoft Web Platform Installer on a Windows Server 2008 Enterprise Edition x64 server (IIS7) and everything went fine. The site connects to a SQL2005 backend server. I enabled LDAP active directory authentication and locked down all my pages so that users are redirected to the signin page first before being able to access any content (this is for an employees only page). This was working fine for a while until I noticed when users started signing in multiple accounts would get created for them each time they logged in so I deleted the extra accounts as they appeared. I'm not really sure what changed but now when unauthenticated users go to the site they are presented with an empty signin box and nowhere to actually enter credentials.

I have downloaded the source installation files for mojoportal again and re-copied them over the existing site but that had no effect. We are running the latest version (2.3.3.9). The permissions on Login.aspx are the same as all the rest of the files in the site.

Help!

Re: New Installation Broken

Hi,

That is very strange. Deleting users form the db may be a factor. It would have been better to try and confirm and solve the bug about multiple user creation rather than just start deleting them. I would need to validate that really happened. If you are running multiple sites for example it would create a user for each site.

I really do not understand what can cause your current symptoms, but I would try clearing the cookies on the client machine and recycling the app pool on the server.

Hope it helps,

Joe
