domain redirect cant be captured by mojo site

Hello Joe

I have a mojo installation with many site, each site has a domain alias in the main domain,

later I discorvered with my hosting provider that I cant manage emails from these domains alias, that I should redirect the domains to my main domain.

When I do this, the mojoportal doens recognize the domain as alias and open the main site instead.

Is there any way to maintain the previous configurantion in mojo websites ?

OR

May I have another installation of mojoportal pointing to the same database?

Anything like that?

Best Wishes

Evencio

Re: domain redirect cant be captured by mojo site

Hi Evencio,

Have you followed the instructions on setting mojoPortal up for Multiple Sites Based on Host Names?

Hope this helps,
Joe D.

Re: domain redirect cant be captured by mojo site

Hi Joe,

Yess, as I mentioned, my mojoportal has already many sites and working fine, each secundary site has an alias in the main domain hosting.

The problem is if I take one secondary domain out and make a redirect instead of alias.

As I said, I need to do this because my hosting provider doesnt allow me to manage emails from domains alias, if I do this, the only way I have is to redirecty it to my main domain.

After redirect, my mojoportal doesnt recognize the secondary web site, it opens my main website in mojo installation.

So, how to make mojoportal recognize the redirected domain:?

Best Wishes

Evencio

Re: domain redirect cant be captured by mojo site

Hi Evencio,

What is the URL that is being passed to mojoPortal? Is it the alias or the main domain?

Can you share the domain names you are using so I can see what is going on?

Thanks,
Joe

Re: domain redirect cant be captured by mojo site

Sure,

http://astromax.info the main domain

http://raiovioleta.com.br a secondary one

http://nfatores.com.br this one is rediredted, so mojo portal is not recognizing

Tks

Evencio
