Alternate Text Editor Option?

I am using mojo to develop a fairly large site, and to help transition members of a marketing department, from using Dreamweaver to using mojo. Don't get me wrong, this is a great CMS. My question is, is it possible to configure the site settings so that an external editor (Notepad, Dreamweaver, whatever) is available to choose from before editing?

Thanks,

Sundrum

Re: Alternate Text Editor Option?

It is not currently possible to edit with desktop tools like dreamweaver because dreamweaver is designed to edit actual html files not database content. Pages and content in mojoPortal do not correspond to actual html files that live on disk.

The whole idea of a CMS is to replace static html pages which would typically be maintained using tools like dreamweaver with dynamic database driven content which can be edited in a friendly way right in the browser with no tools needed. If the user wants to edit raw html they can use the source view button in the included wysiwyg editors or you can enable a plain text area editor.

Best,

Joe
