I have not been recieving any email using the contact. I put the email address in the form's setting (gear icon) and smtp setting in the web.config. Every time I see the message ' thanks, your message has been sent' after submitting the contact form and I can also see the messages in the 'view message' page of the form. But application doesn't sent any email.
I have got some messages in the error log. I am not sure whether it has any link with the email. in the middle of web browsing, i can see bit delay during the page load. I see 2-3 of the following systems error message(same everytime), after every 5 minutes.

The error you posted has nothing to do with sending email.
Make sure you also have a valid Email From Address specified in Site Settings.
