Make a page link to a child page without loosing side nav

Hi,

Im tryling to link a main nav page to the first child page inside it. e.g main nav item is called tour, inside tour are about 8 child pages and I want to link the the first one. I have gone through the documentation and the closes thing I could find is http://www.mojoportal.com/how-to-make-a-page-link-to-a-child-page.aspx. This does work, but the side navigation that holds the 8 other child pages is lost, as i think the CMS doesn't recognise that they are child pages anymore. Any ideas or solutions?

Cheers in advance,

Rob
