Referer page in mail Form Wizard pro/page tracker google

Hey Joe,

I have 2 requests for the Form Wizard Pro:

  1. Would it be possible to include more information in the mail the FWP is sending? Info like referer page.
For instance, I would like to create a form, which is used on several pages. It would be stupid to create for each page
a new form, so I guess that adding such informations, would be helpfull.
  2. Page tracker in google. If you add your google analytics id in the settings of the site and you have the module in the master, google with track it. But to have a good view on the forms that are posted, you can work with 2 method: go to a confirmation page and don't just do a postback, or add a custom name in the pagetracking, like "mojoPageTracker._trackPageview("ContactConfirmation");" after the postback. Since FWP is working with postbacks, can you make a new property for the FWP to fill in words we like?

Thanks

Stef

Re: Referer page in mail Form Wizard pro/page tracker google

No, I read every post but I get too many and can't answer them all and can't offer immediate results for every request. Responding to forum posts is taking more and more time from development because the volume of posts is increasing a lot.

I will consider adding the referrer info in the email as an enhancement. I really do not understand what you are asking for in #2.

Best,

Joe

Re: Referer page in mail Form Wizard pro/page tracker google

Yeah,

I understand. Your product is getting bigger and bigger, so more users are coming.

About nr2:
The submit button of the form does a postback, send an email and then, after everything is done, it makes the placeholder (not sure here, but I work that way ;)) with the confirmation text in it visible and puts the placeholder with the form invisible. Nothing wrong with that, but it isn't possible to track a submitted form in google analytics. If you check google analytics, you will find 2 times the url of the page: once for showing the form, once for the confirmation. So you don't know if those records are just showing how many times the form is shown, or if it was a submitted.

So, when I make a site without mojoportal, I add the google analytics code on the page of the confirmation, but gives the page that must be tracked, a name, like "ContactConfirmation". That way I see in google a page named "/ContactConfirmation" . This can be done by adding that in the trackPageview, like "mojoPageTracker._trackPageview("ContactConfirmation");". So that way, you can see how many forms are requested, and how many submitted.

Is this better to understand?

Yes, that is clearer. I will see what I can do about adding support for tracking the form posts so they are recognizable vs form views. It's a good idea.

Best,

Joe

Re: Referer page in mail Form Wizard pro/page tracker google

Hi Stef,

fyi, I just uploaded Form Wizard Pro 0.0.1.0 it now includes the page url in the email and has a setting where you can enter an url to track on form submissions like /myformsubmit so it will track in Google Analytics.

Best,

Joe
