Suppress Posted Date in Feed Manager

Ability to suppress the posted date displayed in a feed manager RSS item. It can be confusing to the user if the posting is about an upcoming date. Looks like that is the date being refered to when it is actually just the date when the item was posted.

Thanks

Derek

Re: Suppress Posted Date in Feed Manager

Hi Derek,

This thread is related, this is a bug in Feed Manager and will be fixed in the next release of mojoPortal, but in the thread there is a link to a build you can get where this is already fixed.

I think next you will also encounter this issue, for which I will soon put out an updated Event Calendar Pro.

Best,

Joe

Re: Suppress Posted Date in Feed Manager

These are items I haven't discovered yet, so thank you for the info and tiem to correct. Actually my request if to hide the posted date on RSS feeds to the feed manager. So a feed might look like this:

--------------------------------------
FRS Picture Make Up Day
                                                                                                             Monday, October 26, 2009 2:15:00 PM
All Staff:  Be sure to have your picture taken if you were not able to have it done on School Picture Days (9/17 &...
---------------------------------------

It looks like the picture day might be October 26 when actually that was the date the feed was posted.

Other than the user being smarter with how they input posts, can we have an option to suppress showing the feed date?

Re: Suppress Posted Date in Feed Manager

fyi, I have it on my to do list for the coming release to make a setting to give more control over the format of the date including an option to suppress it completely.

Best,

Joe
