pasting in text editor at Google Chrome

Pasting in Google Chrome (Vista 32-bit) doesn't work ok. Opens up a popup where it pastes text, but closing it does nothing. Sometimes (if you write in the main window after that) you might see the text pasted at the start of the textarea. Just tried at your forums

Re: pasting in text editor at Google Chrome

Hi George,

In the forums I have it configured to always force pasting as plain text, so if you are trying to paste html it will strip that out, but if you are pasting regular text it should not strip that out and does not in my tests. In fact I use Chrome all the time when using this site albeit I'm on a 64 bit machine. I will try it on a 32 machine tomorrow to see if its any different.

Letting users paste html is risky because they may post invalid fragments with missing closing tags that can make the page not validate or break layout.

Hope it helps,

Joe
