When enough isn't

Re: Support for Artisteer

Thanks Jamie!

Great to know that MySql also can be used. In my case, though, it will be too risky as I'm not using and used to the source code.

But even more great to know that the release is close. Thanks

Lars

Re: Support for Artisteer

Hi Joe,

I've did some few tests on the 2-3-3-9 and following incuding the svn trunck... no particular issue... smiley.
I've notice you also improve the general look...  yes

I want to thank you for having listening to this request...  I hope those artisteer releases will be important in mojoportal success...!! At least, it is really THE major version I've been expected for a while... !!

I'll post any issue I'll find.

Thank's again,

Thomas.

Re: Support for Artisteer

Hi Joe,

I want to second talesis's praise.  I upgraded artisteer and got latest trunk for mojoportal last night, rebuilt my templates in 2.4 and went through some tweaking, so far so good.  Your notes regarding needed adjustments were a great help and I am looking forward to my second skin tonight which will utilize the flash header support in 2.4.  I feel very lucky to have come across mojoportal, the community is great and I can't say enough about Joe.

Thanks - keep up the good work.
Jon

Re: Support for Artisteer

Hi I’ve just downloaded Artisteer 2.4. Looks like a great program but no mention of mojoPortal
I’ve looked at your instructions but can’t find files like artisteer-24topmenu etc.
Need a bit more help.
I think mojoPortal is really great. It’s a shame there are only a few addons.
Also can you have different templates for different pages?

The skins for site #1 can be found under: /data/sites/1/skins/

If you upgraded from a previous version of mojoPortal, that folder may not have artisteer-24topmenu.  You can find a copy of it under /data/skins/

Hi Todd

Cant find it. These files have not been droped in the latest version my mistake have they?

Just to make sure, these are actual file names and not just code

The only skin I've got from Artisteer, is artisteer-swirly1

Re: Support for Artisteer

Dave,

I went to this site http://mojoportal.codeplex.com/Release/ProjectReleases.aspx and downloaded the Recommended Download mojoportal-2-3-4-1-mssql-deploymentfiles.zip.

I confirmed the following skins were contained in the zip file:

/wwwroot/Data/skins/artisteer-24headermenu
/wwwroot/Data/skins/artisteer-24topmenu
/wwwroot/Data/skins/artisteer-24verticalmenu1
/wwwroot/Data/skins/artisteer-24verticalmenu2
/wwwroot/Data/skins/artisteer-24verticalmenu3

These skins get copied to /wwwroot/Data/Sites/1/skins during the installation process.

If they are not there, I am not convinced you have the most recent version of the mojoPortal.

You should be able to manually copy them to /wwwroot/Data/Sites/1/skins/ and see them in Skin drop down menu found under Admin -> SiteSettings.

Re: Support for Artisteer

Thanks Todd

I think I installed it with MS Web platform – Anyway, it seems to be version 3.3.3.9.
Will reinstall it.
PS. Can you use different templates for different pages?

Re: Support for Artisteer

Yes, go to Administration Menu -> Site Settings and check "Allow Setting Skin for Page" option.  You will have a skin option in page settings page.

Re: Support for Artisteer

The version of mojoPortal in the Web App Gallery is usually a version behind the latest mojoPortal release because we have a short release cycle and there is a process to go through whenever we submit a new version to the gallery. You can upgrade over the version you installed from the gallery using the latest download from Codeplex. After upgrading, copy the files from /Data/skins to /Data/Sites/1/skins

Hope it helps,

Joe
