Adamson UAE

Hi Joe,

First of all I'd like to congratulate and thank you for your time and effort in making such an astonishing application. I stumbled upon your site when I was looking for an alternative CMS (besides kentico and umbraco, normally I used these two in my web projects) that will help me build a community portal. I orginally designed the site using kentico but at somepoint i felt like something is missing and I'm not really satisfied with the features they have in creating a social community website. And so I did search then came mojoPortal, at first I was hesitate but hmmnn... I thought I'll give it a shot... and I'm GLAD I did!

MojoPortal makes it easy for me to create and manage blogs, board discussion, calendar, newsletter, file sharing, and rss feeds all in one place.  User management is straight-forward I really like how you setup the profile configuration plain and simple same goes to application settings.

Customization is great, I really enjoyed doing the skin and I'm glad you integrated the CSSAdapters makes CSS'ing a breeze... Google integration, syndication, blogs, forum, user/profile management, SEO, security/authentication options... these are the things I'd really liked about MP... truly a well-thought application. This makes it a complete web 2.0 development tool! I loved it! Makes me wanna send you a truck load of beeerssss!!! Laughing

I haven't gone deep in to making custom controls but I'm looking forward to it... Probably on my next project. Indeed a big switch for me, and i'm still glad I tried MP... Laughing

Well anyhow, here is my first mojoPortal website http://www.adamsonuae.org.

Thanks,
Francis

Hi Francis,

Thanks for the great testimonial! Very glad you found mojoPortal. I think the biggest problem we have is that so many people have never heard of mojoPortal.

Your site looks awesome! Great job on the design. I've added your site to the list. I'm plannning a blog post soon about some of the really cool mojoPortal sites that people have been submitting lately. I willl definitely mention your site.

Thanks,

Joe

Re: Adamson UAE

Hi Joe,

Cool... thanks a lot!

On the other side, I guess popularity equates to personally preferences. Compare to PHP there's only a fraction of opensource applications out there that is built on .Net framework, you have to spend extra $$$ at the most. A lot of web developers and programmers (that I know) are into PHP when it comes to open source specially in this category and the numbers are significantly higher compare to .NET'ers (so to speak).

It's like when you speak of microsoft it means you have to pay for something or spend a few more to get things done... As a result, they tend not to use MS products or worst they completely ignore it as if it doesn't exists... But I completely disagree with them, oh well this is a debate that will go on forever...

But for .NET'ers I believe Mojoportal is already making it's mark in this category it's just a matter of time. With it's growing community I believe MP will make it on the top list as the most preferred CMS for .NET'ers...

Again, thanks and God Bless!

Francis
