Shared File Module Query

Hi Joe, Hope you’re doing well. I was just wondering that whenever we use the Shared file module to upload a file, why it is displayed for all the authenticated users. Is it possible that the uploaded file is only visible for User A and not the other users? User B should be able to upload his file and so on and so forth. Sorry I didn’t express myself quite well in the previous post. Thanks in advance. God Bless.

Re: Shared File Module Query

Hi,

Permissions are not at the file level but at the page or feature instance level.

Users in roles with edit permissions on the page or feature instance can upload.

Users in roles with view permissions on the page and the feature instance can download.

The only way that autnenticated users can upload is if you set the edit permissions to allow it.

Hope it helps,

Joe
