E-Commerce Question

I am new to mojoPortal and have been feeling my way around configuration and customization.  Awesome CMS by the way!

I have looked around and cannot find out how to implement a simple email notification from a submission of a shopping cart.  I have a customer that wants to sell home alarm systems, but he does not want to use a payment service (e.g. PayPal).  He just wants notification that someone has selected an alarm system for installation and requested a final quote etc...  Is there a way a purchase request can be submitted and only an email go out?

Thanks.

Re: E-Commerce Question

Hi,

Sorry but our WebStore feature does not yet support this scenario, it only sends order confirmation emails to the customer and addresses configured at the store level.

Seems like the included Contact Form feature could be used to request a quote as it can send emails of form submissions.

You might also try the demo of my Form Wizard Pro add on product and see if it might meet your needs, it would allow you to configure various questions or options that a user would choose and it provides email notification of form submissions.

Hope it helps,

Joe

Re: E-Commerce Question

Thanks for the quick response.  So, that I understand - I need to have a payment service (e.g. PayPal) to complete an order?

I assume that I could build a simple checkout that would send an email to the sales email address in the store manager without doing a payment service?

Thanks

Re: E-Commerce Question

Well, I do plan to make it such that if the order total is 0 but you have free items in the cart you can checkout without using a payment service but I have not implemented it yet, probably soon though. Or I should say, I don't think I have implemented that yet.

Best,

Joe

Re: E-Commerce Question

Would like to see this also Joe.

Very handy for non-profit organizations to "checkout" with 0.00 basket.
