Default settings for modules

Default settings for modules

Hi there,

Ive looked through the forums but cant find a question like this.

Basically i want to be able to change some default settings for all of the modules.

For example i never want titles to appear when i create new content slots ie galleries or html content, when inserting new galleries i always want them to be in compact mode and the default image and thumbsizes to be different.

It may firstly sound like i'm being lazy lol, but if i give a site to a friend i want it to be as simple as possible for non tech mates to create new pages for their site.

on another note, the new content templates and content style templates made my day! excellent addition to mojoportal!

Hi Tim,

It would not be difficult to add a config setting that could make a global option for not showing module titles by default (it would apply to all sites in the installation would be the only drawback to the simple way to add this). I've made a note of it and wil try to get that into the next version.

Other feature specific setting defaults can be edited under Admin > Advanced tols > Feature Installation > Feature Settings, but they will be restored to what the developer configures them as in the feature config files any time you visit the /Setup/Default.aspx page.
