If you have questions about using mojoPortal, you can post them here.

mulitple host name

Hi,

I have set up one master site and child site and configured host file pointing to the child site to access to it via hostname.

FYI, the host name is www.solutionwizard.com.

There are two lines there:

127.0.0.1 localhost

127.0.0.1 www.solutionwizard.com

However, when I type www.solutionwizard.com, nothing came up but error message. So  I tried www.solutionwizard.com/mojoPortal, then the child site came up.

Is there any way to get rid of /mojoportal ?

Please guide me.

Thanks in advance,

Re: mulitple host name

Hi,

It sounds like you configured /mojoportal as a virtual directory, so even the first site must be http://localhost/mojoportal not http://localhost

If you point the root of the Default Web Site to the mojoportal folder then you can use http://localhost and the other host name as root level sites.

But if you have the first site at http://localhost/mojoportal, then of course it will need the same structure for any other host name since mojoportal is locatedin a virtual directory instead of the root.

Hope it helps,

Joe
