Placement of Skins in Data/Skins

Placement of Skins in Data/Skins

Greetings all

I have multiple sites running on one installation of MP. Each site uses the same with with some variation (via an added stylesheet). Can I place my skin in the ~/Data/Skins and rather than maintain the same skin of each site in ~/Data/Sites/x/Skins?  This would make the skin easier to maintain.

Hi,

You can organise your css into a commmon folder as described in this article:

However, I would recommend not putting them in the /Data/skins folder because files are copied from there to the /Data/Sites/[SiteID]/skins folder upon site creation. You could create a different folder like /Data/sharedcss/ or some other custom folder and include the common css files from a single location using the style.config file for the individual site skins.
