I am installing the latest version of MojoPortal, 2.3.0.4.b Released 2009-05-22, on a Vista Home Premium machine using SqlExpress. I ran the http://localhost:90/Setup/Default.aspx page. It looked like it ran ok but it stopped.

Note: This page shows some information that is helpful during setup and upgrades but for security it would be best not to show any information when the system is up to date. You can disable setup and suppress all information on this page by setting DisableSetup=true in Web.config. When you need to upgrade, you can set this back to false. If you are logged in as Administrator setup will run and you will be able to see this page even if it is disabled in Web.config so you can easily leave it disabled and just login before upgrading. But if you are not logged in you will need to enable setup in Web.config.

How do I proceed to the site login page from here? Was the installation successful?

Re: Installation does not lead to login page.

Thank you for your quick response. I am not working with the source files yet, just your download. I downloaded the file a second time decompressed it and copied it to my website. I still have the same problem. Any Ideas?

Re: Installation does not lead to login page.

Well, it stopped running scripts at version 2.3.0.1. The setup knows it is not up to date but it can't find all the script files, perhaps you had some file transfer errors copying it to your web server. I would upload the /Setup folder again and make sure all the files make it and then visit the setup page again so it can run the rest of the scripts.

Hope ity helps,

Joe

The istalation worked and I got to the home page. However I got a 'Object reference not set to an instance of an object.' when trying to access the Sign In and Register page. I'm downloading VS2008 to see if I can find the errors. Thanks for working weekends.
