changing fckeditor toolbar settings in Form Wizard Pro

Hi:

I would like to use "default" or "full" [not "blog view"] for fckeditor tool bar within Form Wizard Pro.  I would like to add images and other content not available from tool bar.  I see from a previous post some hints at accomplishing this... but I'm not finding all the files to alter.

Thank you.

Paul

Hi,

Yes, mojoportal is using the mojofckconfig.js file. However I don't recommend customizing that file directly. Instead, copy it and rename it and then change this setting to the new file. You will find this in Web.config but ideally uoi will override it in user.config

<add key="FCKeditor:CustomConfigPath" value="~/ClientScript/mojofckconfig.js" />

If you were to just customize mojofckconfig.js directly, you would likely lose your customizations next time you upgrade because the new file would replace the old one. By using your wown named file you can avoid this.

One other thing to be aware of is mojoportal's .NET wrapper around the FCKeditor needs the toolbar names to be as they are in mojofckconfig.js. It doesn't allow you to add new arbitrary named toolbars, but you can customize the exsiting named tool bars.

Hope it helps,

Joe

Ohh...

By the way, I am really enjoying mojoPortal!  My first job using mojoPortal: building our basic site www.malverncommunications.com and looking to implement it for upcoming sites for a couple of our clients in the near future.  Thanks.

Re: changing fckeditor toolbar settings in Form Wizard Pro

Hi Paul,

Unfortuantely its not possible for you to change that on your end. I will change it here so that Form Wizard uses the full toolbar and I will try to put out an update with this change soon, I think it is good feedback and in retrospect I'm not sure why I used a minimal toolbar there.

It is possible to use a custom config and change what is included in the toolbar (but not which toolbar is used), so I mean you could add that stuff to the blogcomment tool bar but I would not recommend doing that because that would give anonymous coment posters more power than they should have.

Best,

Joe

Hey, your site is looking good! Would you like me to list it in the mojo sites page?

Best,

Joe

Thanks for the quick response!  I will be honored if you included our site in your listings.

I will use a work-around for the time being and await the future update to Form Wizard Pro.

Re: changing fckeditor toolbar settings in Form Wizard Pro

Hi Paul,

I've uploaded a minor new release of Form Wizard Pro which now has the full toolbar in the editor. You can download it again from your purchase history to get the latest version. I would recommend first upgrading to mojoPortal 2.3.0.4, which was released yesterday.

Best,

Joe
