Re: What about Report of the stored data ?

Hi Romulo,

mojoPortal doesn't currently have anything for nice formatted printable reports.

In fact I don't currently know of any easy to use free open source .NET reporting tools, especially a mono compatible one.

I have bookmarked a couple of pdf rendering engines on this page
http://www.joeaudette.com/aspnetlinks.aspx
that I thought might look into using one of those at some point to try and do reporting but I think it will be a while before I get there.

If you are using windows and would consider purchasing software for reporting, I recommend Active Reports by Data Dynamics.

Hope it helps,

Joe

Re: What about Report of the stored data ?

Hi again !!!

And if you want to write some data, we say one o two pages of data like a table data or grid with a result of query, and write through "FireFox.File.Print()",  This  possible?. Sorry if is it a stupid question. (I really want to know if ASP.Net -and mono- have something like a basic print method?).

Thanks in advance...

Opss. I can see that your internal clock (of the server) is wrong...

Re: What about Report of the stored data ?

Hi Romulo,

.NET code runs on the server and server side code cannot print on the client machine.

You can print on the client machine using the Web Browser's printing support and some javascript.

If you google for "javascript print", you will find all kinds of examples, here is one example.

Hope it helps,

Joe
