Contact Form permission setting

Hi,

I have a contact form on my portal , but just Admin can view the message, If I set another role , to edit module , the link Of View Messages shown but when I click on it , a Access denied error diplayed.

 

How Can I set permission for other roles?

I find a way , and when I set the edit permission of page to that role , he can view messages.

But the message open a big windows, with no close button ( I use the latest version) and now way to come back to perv page.

is it possible to add a close or back button to this window?

Hi,

It is a bug that it only works with page edit permissions. I have fixed that here so it will be fixed in the next release. I have also added a close button for the next release since this seems to confuse people. But its really not a popup window, is just a javascript layout that is resizable and moveable. If you don't see the links back to the contact form or other pages, you can drag the window out of the way to reveal the links.

Hi Ashian,

I fixed a bug in the html content versioning this morning and updated the release packages but kept the version the same as it was a small change.

I recommend download the release again and replace the dlls in the bin with the new versions and also replace the ContactForm folder as I made one small change there too, I added a close button and fixed it so module edit permission also works.

Thanks the latest upgrade work fine. just I have a suggestion if it possible , add a reply button to message list, then If need to reply to message admin can simply response and send email.

I was wondering if there is any possibility that in "Contact Form" feature, the view message link could have been restricted to sender and receiver  Please give me your advice.

view message link is only available for users with edit permission on the page or module. it is not available for the unknown user who submits the form.
