Search for partial words

How do I make the search engine able to search for partial words?

We use Lucene.NET, if you need it to do something different than it does now you will have to get involved in that project.

 Oh I figured out what is up.  It uses boolean search characters.  i.e. entering the letters "searc" may not find anything but "searc*" will find any word that starts with "searc".
