Default user profile

Hi Joe there's a way to set a default user profile different from the standard one? For example I have not very expert user subscribing my web site so I waould like to set from default the subscribtion to the newsletter and the time zone. Is it possible?

Another thing I'm interested in your Event calendar Pro I saw the video but I would like to let you know what I need for.
I have a customer that has a show room his sales men that travel around need to set appointment at the showroom for different customer so many sales men need to login and use the same calendar but they have only to set event in the blank zone they do not have to change or move the event inserted from another user that will be read only. Does Event Calendar Pro do this?

Thanks

Re: Default user profile

Hi Danilo,

The newsletter is defaulted to false to require opt in. Its not currently possible to make it default to true but maybe sometime we will implement support for that.

The timezone will default to the timezone that matches this setting in Web.config:

<add key="PreferredGreenwichMeantimeOffset" value="-4.00" />

Sorry but Event Calendar Pro does not support the scenario you are looking for, if the user can edit the calendar they can edit anything in the calendar, its not per user. I think "Appointment Scheduling" is a different animal than "Event Publishing", I plan at some point to make a Resource Scheduler Pro for booking conference rooms or appointments or any resource, but I think it will be a separate product than Event Calendar Pro.

Best,

Joe
