Removing the blog bookmarking links

I've been trying to remove the mymsn/yahoo/google etc buttons in the blog sections but I only managed to do it for the main blog page by adding a visible-false attribute in the BlogModule.ascx control, something like <li id="liAddMSN" runat="server" visible="False" ... ] in the blognav class.

I did the same for the ArchiveViewControl.ascx, BlogViewControl.ascx and aspx pages in the Blog root folder but whenever I click a blog article the buttons are still there.

Thanks in advance to anyone willing to shed some light in this matter.

Hi,

The AddThis boookmarking button only appears if there is something entered for the "AddThis.com Username" setting in the blog settings. To get to the settings click the gear next to the title of your blog. Then clear out this setting to remove the button, and check the "Hide AddThis Button" setting.
