Want ONLY Windows Live Authentication for both Registering and Login

Hi Joe

Just wanted to ask you few things

1. Can I have ONLY Windows Live Authentication for both Registering and Login I don't want any other authentication. I even want to disable site's normal authentication. Strictly Windows live Authentication Only

2. After I log in as Admin and try to delete a normal user I am able to do it. BUT when a user is using Windows Live Authentication I am NOT able to delete such user. I don't understand why?

Re: Want ONLY Windows Live Authentication for both Registering and Login

Hi,

1. Its not currently possible but it would be relatively easy to make it possible so I will consider implemnting support for this soon.

2. If that is true its a bug, but I'm not able to reproduce it. There is a setting in site settings whether to really delete users or just flag them as deleted.

Hope it helps,

Joe

Re: Want ONLY Windows Live Authentication for both Registering and Login

Hi

I had asked about "Want ONLY Windows Live Authentication for both Registering and Login" long time back

What i thought can i change the url at the register link which is "http://www.sitename.org/Secure/Register.aspx"  to

"http://www.sitename.org/Secure/RegisterWithWindowsLiveID.aspx" so that people registering to my site are given only one option.

Now in Layout.Master i saw   <portal:RegisterLink id="RegisterLink" runat="server" RenderAsListItem="true" />

So i am not able to figure out where and in which file can i change the url so as to get desired result..

Thanks A Lot

Dev

Re: Want ONLY Windows Live Authentication for both Registering and Login

Hi,

This drifted off my radar and never got implemented. Thanks for putting it back on my radar, I've made a note to look into this soon.

Best,

Joe
