Administration background change

For quite a time, I've been wondering, how to change background color in Administration menu - site settings and much more places, where the tabs are being used. The interface is light-blue by default (#EDF5FF) but since my skin is black, I have light grey text on it, which is really difficult to read. Where can one change the background color? I was not able to find the correct CSS.

Thank you very much

Re: Administration background change

The tabs are YUI, there is an article about skinning YUI tabs here. There is currently only one skin available named sam, and we are hard coded to use it, but you could create one with the same class names and then add the css into the head of your layout.master below the other css, that way it will take presendence over settings above it from the YUI css we load from google CDN.

Not sure how tricky it will be do implement a YUI skin as I have never done it. I had the same problem with some of the included skins but I tweaked them to give darker font rather than figure out how to change the background in YUI.

Best,

Joe

Re: Administration background change

Actually you don't have to add anything to layout.master, just edit the skin css, since it is already lower in the page than the YUI css it can override anything in the YUI css. So I guess the trick is just figuring out what to override.

Best,

Joe
