Page layout - info across the bottom

 Hi Joe,

I have two questions but they are similar and one might satisfy the requirements.

First question is - on your home page you have 3 columns and then content below spanning the whole width. Is this purely html on a single columned page or something different?

Is there a way to add a bottom panel (spanning the width) to add content to and/or add to the panel where it says site map and printable view. I'd like to add things like contact etc. at the bottom too.

Thanks very much.

Adam

Re: Page layout - info across the bottom

Hi Adam,

Yes, on the home page of this site its really two content instances both in the center, the top one has internally created columns within the html.

But, yes it is possible to have up to 5 content sections, so in addition to the typical 3 columns that is supported by all of our skins, it is possible to have 1 above those 3 and one below. See the article More Than 3 Content Panels, also look at ramblingsoul-5contentpanes and andreasvickland-02 for example skins implementing 5 content sections.

Hope it helps,

Joe

Re: Page layout - info across the bottom

Hi Joe,

Thanks, that helps. I've looked at the 5 content panes skins but wasn't too keen on it. I'm using a version similar to this side but modified colours to given the 'wooden' theme necessary so it was about adding one to that.

Any joy on being about to add info to the bottom 'site map' panel?

On another note, I want to introduce Mojo Portal to our company. It's a 1 in about a million chance them taking it due to their size and 'corporate nature' but I'm at least going to try and demonstrate it for the quality of your open source software for a new intranet product. Do you have any issues with this? Also just thinking ahead for the corporate environment does it work well with things like NT / Active Directory users for authentication etc?

Thanks, Adam
