Error on installation "App_GlobalResources"

What operating system were you running when the bug appeared?
What database platform is your site using?
What version of mojoPortal are you running?
What version of .NET do you use?
What steps are necessary to reproduce the issue? Compare expected results vs actual results.

Error on installation "App_GlobalResources"

I'm getting the following error when I run the setup = "Could not load file or assembly 'App_GlobalResources' or one of its dependencies".

I've install the mojoPortal file under a folder named MyPortal under wwwroot instead of under of installing all files under wwwroot. I suspect that the error is caused by this. Is there something I can do or would I need to install under wwwroot.

Do I also need to change something under web.config to point to MyPortal forlder. I've already setup MyPortal as an Application under IIS.

I'm using Win Server 2008 & IIS 7

I don't know whether this is causing the issue or not but when I tried to unzip the file from Codeplex, it would not unzip. So I tried the file from http://developer.novell.com/wiki/index.php/Mojoportal. This unzipped okay but had issues with 3 files: bin\CSSFriendly.dll, data\skins\snop-plasticboy-reflection\mypage.css & neatupload.css in the same folder

More info: I downloaded ver 2-2-8-2c. Winzip also had problems unzipping some of the file within this zip file too. However, when I ran Setup using these file, mojoPortal install fine.

Looks like something wrong with release files for Ver 2-2-8-3.

Let me know if you have a solution & how I may upgrade to latest version

Hi,

I just downloaded the mojoportal-2-2-8-3-mssqlreleasefiles.zip from Codeplex and it unzipped and setup just fine for me. If there was a problemit may have been a temporary problem with the codeplex server. If there was really a problem with the file I think a lot of people would report it.

Make sure you have .NET 3.5 sp1 installed.

Thanks Joe. Managed to sort out the issue after I was able to download Ver 2-2-8-3 and unzip it without any CRC errors.

I saw this error message too.

My (dumb!) mistake was I had a filter active in FileZilla, so certain file types did not get uploaded to my server.

Be sure to check you're not filtering Embarassed A simple check like a properties check on the mojoportal root folder on both local and remote machines will confirm you have the same number of files on each.
