Howto activate descriptions in link module

Hi,

I don't understand how can I show desriptions in link module.

I try to edit LinksShowDescriptionSetting but nothing happens.

What can I do? When I activate descriptions, these are searchable?

Thank You,

 Mauro

Re: Howto activate descriptions in link module

Hi Mauro,

If you click the gear icon next to the title of the links module, the setting "Show Description" should enable it. It does work for me. If its not working for you, please tell which db platform you are using and what version of mojoPortal and anything else about your installation that may be relevant.

Yes, link description is indexed in he search index and is searchable.

Best,

Joe

Re: Howto activate descriptions in link module

Maybe you edited the setting in the config file for links, but that is just the default setting for when new instances of links module are created. Each instance has its own setting under the gear icon.

Best,

Joe

I'm using mojoportal vers. 2.2.7.3, pgsql database and IIS Server under Windows 2003 server..

The option don't compare in the page. How can I solve this?

Re: Howto activate descriptions in link module

The option don't compare in the page.

I don't understand, you mean you don't see an option for it when you click the gear icon? The Page Settings also has a gear icon, but I'm talking about the one right next to the title of your links module instance.

If you don't see the option, then try visiting /Setup/Default.aspx, after that see if it is there.

Or are you are saying the option is there but has no effect?

Best,

Joe
