Customize menu grouping links

Hi,
I want to know if there is a way to customise a vertical menu grouping links in thematic topics.

For example: if I have 9 links in my menu, I want

link1
link2
link3
---------
link4
link5
link6
---------
link7
link8
link9
---------

Maybe the 3 groups different in colors or background. How can I do something like this? Must I use one menu and customize it? Or is it possible to use 3 different menu in list with mojoportal?

Thanks

Re: Customize menu grouping links

I don't know a good way to do that with the menus. Looks like you have 9 pages all at the root level and you just want to group them, but there is no grouping within a level.

However, if you think of it a menu is just a list of links. You can easily create a list of links styled or grouped any way you like using an Html Content feature. The menus are a convenience of the content management system because when you create a page it shows up magically in the menu, but you could uncheck the "Include In Menu" option in page settings and then just make your own menu as you like, it just won't be updated automatically when you add new pages, instead you will have to edit your custom menu.

Hope it helps,

Joe

Re: Customize menu grouping links

I explained it in a very simple way, but my menu has its subsections. It is something like:

link1
  linka
  linkb
  linkc
link2
  linkd
  linke
  etc...
link3
---------
link4
link5
link6
---------
link7
link8
link9
---------

Re: Customize menu grouping links

Sorry but I can't think of an easy way to do what you describe.

Best,
