Version Numbering

Hi, long time etc!

I'm just about to upgrade some of our sites to the latest version. Current sites are on versions 2.4.0.9, 2.7.0.0 and 2.9.0.1

I initially got confused because the homepage of mojoporta.com says "Current Version 2.9.2", with an accompanying Recent News entry, but when I go to the downloads it say it's 3.0.  Presumably I'm safe to download that?

Are there any breaking changes I should be aware of? I couldn't see anything in the logs but I'm always cautious about big number version changes!

Thanks

Ian

Re: Version Numbering

So far I've had to remove <mp:WatermarkTextBox from my skin.

Now I get:

Server Error in '/' Application.

'http:/mysite/Data/Sites/5/skins/Standlake3.1/style.config' is not a valid virtual path.

The style.config file is definitely there - any idea what's going on?

Thanks

Ian

Re: Version Numbering

Hello Ian,

The reason for the discrepancy in versioning is due to a soft launch of mojoPortal 3.0.0. We are working on a blog post to announce the release officially.

We went ahead and added you to our complimentary support, if you wouldn't mind uploading your skin and your latest log to this link we can go ahead and check the issues a little closer.

Edit: I also want to include our guide to upgrading a mojoPortal site, as well as upgrading a skin if necessary (Which is linked on the first page.)
