when new release ?

When posting in this forum, please try to provide as many relevant details as possible. Particularly the following:

  • What operating system were you running when the bug appeared?
  • What database platform is your site using?
  • What version of mojoPortal are you running?
  • What version of .NET do you use?
  • What steps are necessary to reproduce the issue? Compare expected results vs actual results.

You may also want to review the installation or upgrading documentation.

one year it has been said that a new version will be released but we still don't know anything.. when will it be released?

Hi Massi,

We've finally gotten to the point of testing all db platforms. I'll send you links directly for testing, if you wouldn't mind helping us out. 

If anyone else would like to help, reply to this thread and I'll send you the links to the testing sites and the release packages.

This is a huge update, primarily because I didn't prioritize making a public release for so long. That's my fault and I own it. I'm working on a release announcement as well.

which I use mainly for testing. and then if you tell me that it can be placed on a production site of my association, I will mount it there..

 

but only when we are sure that everything works.

No Joe, it is not your fault.
You have already done a great job, and your dedication to Mojoportal is appreciable.

Joe:  I would like to test as well.  I have been looking for a platform to "replace" mojoPortal, but I have yet to find one.

Hi Joe Davis,

How can I thank you for this work. I have been using mojoPortal Since 2009, as you and Joe Audette might be knowing me.
I've ever longed to hear, such a word with a newer release, happening ever soon :)
This update is super sweet and please continue to serve this community as well as the decade old users like us in the mojoPortal Community.

Glad to test the application across different environments, in aiding a hand to you. Please let me know that.
A quick question for you would be, can I expect any upcoming versions of the mojoPortal to be running on cross platform? Like utilizing the Dotnet-Core based framework?
If that happens, Im sure, most of them will rush back from WordPress to our mojoPortal and can see a lot happening further down the line. :)

Hi Guruprasad,

Thank you for kind words and continued support of the mojoPortal project.

We're aiming to get mojoPortal to the latest .net framework. It's a very big project with a lot of features out of the box. We are contemplating dropping some features just to make the port a little easier. The Survey, Poll, and RSS Feed Manager would likely be dropped.

Anyone interested in helping out with this transition should just post in the forums or send us a note using the contact page.
