Tag Cloud Control/Module

Hi Joe,

I have some open source code for creating a tag cloud. Would you be interested in turning this into a module or add-on for mojo? I probably could do it and it's driven by a dataset of some sorts but where I'd fall over is what to supply it from where.

I guess if it were flexible (and you probably have ideas on this) the dataset could be from such items as:

Words within the site

most searched within the site

most products on ecommerce

most products sold/search/viewed/favourite on ecommerce etc.

Therefore it's the selection of 'what to tag cloud' i.e. the interface that I'd get stuck on. Are you interested in converting this? It'd probably take you a couple of hours as opposed to my couple of weeks! :-) Where can I upload it to please?

Thanks, Adam

p.s. this is both in developer forum and feature request as it sort of fits both.

Re: Tag Cloud Control/Module

I've bookmarked several tag cloud implemetations for future use myself. If you know of an open source control please post a link. Keep in mind that we can't use anything under the GPL license, but most other OSI approved licenses are ok.

It might be possible to use this in the blog at the moment, but before it can be used more widely in the site I have to implement some core plumbing that features can leverage for tagging. I've got some design work started on it but not sure when it will move to the top of my stack.

Best,

Joe

Re: Tag Cloud Control/Module

Hi Joe,

This appears to be the best of the 3 i've found as it appears more flexible with its dataset etc. http://www.codeproject.com/KB/webforms/aspnet-search-cloud.aspx

Here is the other as a comparision just incase.
