New file manager

I have just upgraded to v 2.5.0.0 and have noticed that a feature appears to have disappeared from the new file manager.

When creating hyperlinks in page content, you used to be able to click on the "browse server" and go to "Pages" to easily link to other pages on the site.  On the new file manager this feature appears to be missing and you can only browse to objects in the file system.

Is there any way of re-enabling this feature?

Hi Chris,

For others who might have this question in the future, see the Picking Pages section of the Using the File Manager documentation.

Thanks,
Joe

Re: New file manager

Hi Joe,

Joem here ... I'm receiving several errors after a successful upgrade from 2.4.x.x to 2.5.0.0. One of the error is on the start up of the new File Manager regarding security.

Systems log entry:

. . . . .

System.Security.SecurityException: Request for the permission of type 'System.Security.Permissions.SecurityPermission, mscorlib, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089' failed.

. . . . . . .

The action that failed was:
Demand
The type of the first permission that failed was:
System.Security.Permissions.SecurityPermission
The Zone of the assembly that failed was:
MyComputer

indecision Initial questions ... What is this permission related to? Is it on the root level permission on the hosting that I can resolve?

no The second error I'm noticing after the upgrade is... after login as sysadmin, I get this error "too many redirects" from the browser and fails to route me to the systems admin landing page.

laugh The third error had to do with the MACHINE KEY. Mojo was throwing an exception "Unable to validate data." but I figured it out.
I saved the old secure and unique machine key and replace the new one on the Web.Config of the 2.5.x.x upgrade version.

Re: New file manager

Hi Joem,

It looks like you're running under medium trust. ASP.NET is no longer supported under medium trust so I suggest you find different hosting.

Thanks,
Joe
