Re: Mojo -The Future is bright

Hi Ray,

The future really is bright for mojoPortal.

If you haven't checked out the demo website, I suggest that you do. It has a few bootstrap skins on it and we're sure to have more soon. We're focusing on some bigger updates though for the next couple of weeks, including a new logo and design for the mojoportal.com website.

Thanks,
Joe

Re: Mojo -The Future is bright

Hi all, I'm so glad to know that mojo is not death!!!

i love the product, the friendly and prompt answers or support, the solid features...

I wish all the best to Joe & Joe.. and will continue using mojo on my clients...

if I can give a feature suggestion, it would be nice that in shared files feature you'll provide even an encryption decryption routine... a lot of clients wants more and more security on reserved documents stored in sites.

Good luck

Re: Mojo -The Future is bright

As a long-time mojoPortal user, it's good to see the platform will be receiving some updates and new features. Are there future plans for mojo with regards to Microsoft Azure hosting? I believe the last time this issue was discussed was 2011, so I'm not sure where things currently stand and where they may head.

Thanks, and keep up the good work.

Re: Mojo -The Future is bright

Hi,

mojoPortal does run on Azure and presumably other cloud systems as well. You can check out the Web Farms and Clusters documentation for more information. If you run into any trouble, please let us know in the forums.

Thanks,
Joe

Re: Mojo -The Future is bright

Any news on Mojo? It would be great to see some posts on the blog letting us know how things are going. The rumor of the new file manager was pretty exciting! I hope it comes to pass.

If there's anything your community can do to help let us know. We need to get the excitement up again. Some of us have hundreds of sites on Mojo and even just from a maintenance perspective would like to see Mojo stay alive. It's a fantastic CMS, very flexible!

Re: Mojo -The Future is bright

Hi Eric,

Check out the demo site for the latest version of mojoPortal. We're hoping to release it by the end of the week.

The biggest change is the File Manager (docs here). There are some smaller, bug fix changes as well but the File Manager is the big thing. Also, We've pulled all non-english resource, help and message template files out of the core release and we're making them available in a new mojoPortal Language repo on github. That's going to make uploading mojoPortal using FTP a lot easier and faster because several hundred files are no longer included by default.

The demo site also has a new version of Form Wizard Pro which includes support for the HTML 5 Slider control and modern ui elements for managing the form itself. Some of the ui stuff is only supported if you have bootstrap included in your skin but degrades gracefully to basically what we had before the upgrade if you don't have bootstrap.

Thanks,
Joe

Re: Mojo -The Future is bright

WOW, file manager looks awesome! It looks a lot easier to navigate huge sites with thousands of files and hundreds of pages like some of my sites have. Very slick and well done! That left admin nav bar is nice too, I'll have to play around more with this.

If I had to give room for improvement it would be nice to see image previews in the file manger so you can see what you are selecting (jpg, gif, png). It wouldn't have to be large, postage stamp size would do the trick. Even if the "icon" view showed actual file thumbs instead of the generic icon image that could work. Not critical, a little thing.

Can't wait!

Re: Mojo -The Future is bright

Hi Eric,

I would also like to point out that you can preview the images by right clicking and select "View Image".  I realize it's not quite the same, but I at least wanted people to know it was there.

A majority of the new File Manager's functions are accessible by right clicking the items, so things like compressing, renaming, moving, and copying files are all done by the right click context menu.

Hope you enjoy the release!
Elijah
