Do not need to use the blog, is necessary to classify news or articles, to create, edit, publish, and notify the announcements, background maintenance Ye Hao point.

We need the news module to support headline image, to be as a thumbnail image for the feed, and a large image in the article details!

Actually the news thing might cause me to not use MojoPortal,, PLeaseeee dooo it..

Well, first of all I have to say that I am your great fan for a long time. But. With News Module I really don't understand your position.

You tell "use blog", but blog control is, well, the BLOG control after all. Here is my experience: my non-IT friend have asked me to develop site for his dance club. Sure enough, I choose MojoPortal. Then he asked: "what about News Module? I'd like to have simple way just to post some piece of fresh info".

And I had to tell him: "There is NO News Module in this GREAT cms". Should I teach him to use Blog module instead??? He presses buttons on KB with just one finger after all!

You did so much very cool controls! Why don't you implement NM as we all wish?

By the way, somewhere in net I had found YOUR implementation of News Module for MP. Do you remember it? It was fully functional module, except it was binded with MsSQL server. Does it take A LOT of time to bake DAL for other DBs? After all -- ask guys here -- I'm sure the community will help you for free. It's not a rocket science to port existing DAL to other DB. But we NEED some existing DAL to start with.
