Blogs Admin

Good Morning,

We are wanting a certain group in mojoPortal to Add/Edit posts to blogs, but to any where else.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I thought of creating a role and adding an AD group, but I don't see how to do this.

Thank you,

Robert Dilcher

Re: Blogs Admin

mojoportal uses its own internal role system even if your users are logging in with Active Directory.

You would create a new role and add the users to it under Administration > Role Administration

Then you would visit the page that has the blog and click the "Page Settings" link, under Security > Roles That Can Edit This Page you would add your custom role.

Hope that helps,

Joe

Re: Blogs Admin

Or if you don't want to give edit permissions on the whole page, you can click "Settings" of the blog instance and add the allowed edit role in blog security settings.

Additionally, if you want the users to be able to add/edit posts but not change the blog settings then you can add the custom role also under Administration > Permissions > Roles NOT Allowed to Edit Feature Instance Settings

please don't reply to forum notification emails, post replies directly in the forum

Re: Blogs Admin

Thank you again for replying. We still see at the bottom Edit Page and Page Settings.  Is there a way to get rid of that?

Re: Blogs Admin

you should only see that if you are in a role that is allowed to edit the page

Re: Blogs Admin

Joe,

One last question, is there a way to remove the Administration that is at the top next to Add Post?

Thank you,

Robert Dilcher
