getting traffic to my blogs

I have read the help on Feed burner and Blogs I am still not sure what I need!  When I put a Feed Burner on a page it inserts a segment with the name of the blog on it.  I thought it worked in the background?

I have a child (or sub) site (www.AnalogGoesDigital.com/Retirement/home) and in it I have 2 blog pages that has content.

Health RSS - http://analoggoesdigital.com/4/Blog/RSS.aspx?p=3186~3227~-1
Food - http://analoggoesdigital.com/Retirement/recipes
Food RSS - http://analoggoesdigital.com/4/Blog/RSS.aspx?p=142~174~-1

My basic question is how do I make the blog pages searchable to the outside world?  How do I drive traffic to them?  or What is the best way to use a blog page?
