Using the Redirect Manager for straggling URL's?

Google is showing 55 url's that are returning 404 file not found. It seems these are straggling pages from an old version of the site on a server we don't have access to.  The urls are like this:
en/component/content/article/1-blog/132-are-horses-studious.html
index.php?option=com_jnews&view=subscribe&act=subone&Itemid=258

I was considering using the mojoportal redirect to solve this issue. redirect each of the file not found url's to a comparable mojoportal created page.  What do you think of this?....Thanks

Re: Using the Redirect Manager for straggling URL's?

Hi,

Yep, this is possible. Using one of your urls, set the first box on the redirect manager page to en/component/content/article/1-blog/132-are-horses-studious.html and the second box to the url you want to redirect to.

For urls, with query strings (?option=com_jnews), your not going to be able to use the 301 redirect tool in mojo. For those,  you could simply redirect the actual page (index.php) in your example to the homepage of your mojo site.

HTH,
Joe D.
