500 Internal server error

Using a server on which I have a number of mojoportal sites running (Windows Server, SQL Server) using 2.4.0.8

Created, for the first time, a site whose name begins with a 4 digit number (2170Jackson.com).

Ping shows DNS is working and pointing to server.

customErrors is set to off.

All steps in readme.txt followed...

Done it many times before - yet cannot find solution to why it seems not to even look at setup- or what is different about this installation compared to all others.

Any ideas of what might be causing it?

Thanks.

Chris

Re: 500 Internal server error

Oh, and also, I can connect to the db through Sql Server Management Studio, no problems.

Re: 500 Internal server error

you need to start with basic troubleshooting to find out the error details. 500 status code just means an error happened, it does not provide any information about the cause of the error
