Page name/URL rename - Old name still appears in search

Hi Joe,

I renamed a Page Name and URL which caused a 301 Redirection, naturally, so I deleted the redirection as I wanted all traces of the old page name removed. However when I search for the old page name, it's still appearing in the Search Results. When I click on it in the Search Results, I get the error message that it could not be found, which is correct.

I have done this in the previous versions on mojoPortal and not had any problems. Is there something I am missing or have done incorrectly? Do I have to rebuild the search index?

Kind regards,
Sandy

Re: Page name/URL rename - Old name still appears in search

Hi Sandy,

The search index may take a few minutes to update, it would not be immediate. If you find it still has not corrected itself, you could either make a small edit on the page content to re-trigger the indexing of the page (and wait a few minutes again) or rebuild the search index if all else fails.

Hope that helps,

Joe

I forgot to make an edit on the page. That fixed it.

Once again, thanks for your prompt assistance. :)
