Testing encoding with old NeatHtml

The next line has a trademark symbol.  Is it HTML-encoded in the source?

The NeatUpload ™ ASP.NET component

Nope, it isn't.

Joe, feel free to delete this thread.  Sorry to pollute your forums, it was just the simplest way to test.

Re: Testing encoding with old NeatHtml

Hey Dean,

When I view the source of this page (using FF on Windows) I see "™" isn't that encoded? Its not the ascii character.

Thanks,

Joe

Re: Testing encoding with old NeatHtml

:-)  You are right.  I was selecting just that line of text and doing "view selection source" in FF.  Apparently, under those circumstances FF doesn't re-HTML-encode such characters...  Sorry for the confusion.
