Re: Step by Step Installation instruction

Currently we support 5 databases but Oracle is not one of them. However, there have been recent posts in the developer forum from someone who plans to implement a data layer for Oracle, though I cannot predict if or when he will complete it.

I can say that if a company wants to sponsor development of Orcale support, I believe I could implement it myself for the core features in 5 weeks or less of effort.

Joe, aren't you going to support Oracle now as you use SubSonic (after reading http://www.mojoportal.com/subsonic-all-your-databases-are-belong-to-us.aspx)?

Re: Step by Step Installation instruction

Hi Alexander,

No, I never had any plans to support Oracle even when I was using SubSonic. As of now I have removed all use of  SubSonic as I found it to be inefficient in terms of resource consumption and it made things more difficult to debug. I was briefly enthusiastic about SubSonic but it didn't last. Its no longer included or used anywhere in mojoportal.

Best,

Joe
