Membership Pro - Add a user manually?

I have a unique situation. I have several online stores, the stores use PayPal Express, however on my mojoportal site with Membership Pro installed I can't use PayPal the way it is set up to be used. PayPal only allows one return page, rather than one for each website.

I want to manually add new "members" that pay via PayPal to the system. Is there a way to add/edit or change a members settings like expiration date. I know I can manually add them to a role, however I see no easy way to manually add someone to a Membership pro product item or the ability to add an expiration date.

Thanks in Advance,
Allen

Re: Membership Pro - Add a user manually?

Hi Allen,

I am working on adding a back end order entry for Site Membership Pro that will allow you to manually enter orders. It will be ready soon and I'll post on this thread when the update is available.

Thanks,

Joe

Re: Membership Pro - Add a user manually?

That would be great Joe. Do you have any rough time frame for this?

I really do like the Membership Pro modules, it does what is should. I do wish though you cwould incorporate PayPal Express into it (rahter than standard). It would provide more flexible payment capabilities. I know it can be implemented as NOPcommerce (older 1.9 versions ) use it and makes it easier to have multiple commerce websites without the single return page hassles.

Thanks again,

Allen

Re: Membership Pro - Add a user manually?

Hi Allen,

I just uploaded version 1.0.1.0 of Site Membership Pro, you can get it from your purchase history by clicking the "My Account: link.

You should see a new link for "Order Entry" in the management menu. You select an existing site user and product and can create an order and optionally send a confirmation email to the user.

I'll log the request about PayPal Express and look into it when I have time.

Best,

Joe

Re: Membership Pro - Add a user manually?

Thanks Joe. I am getting it now. I think PayPal Express would be more flexible for folks that have more than one store or commerce website. I can't use PayPal Standard because if I turn it on, I am limited to one return page and Express will keep it seamless, sending them back to the website without the return page.

Re: Membership Pro - Add a user manually?

Enjoy the brewskies. Just cracked my 2nd on open. If you decide to do the PayPal Express functionality I'll buy you a $100.00 worth of brewskies. ;-)
