Currency symbol "£"

When I type the currency symbol for pounds sterling (£) into the description section of the events calendar, the symbol has a red underlining.

I can also see the red underline in this post.

How can I make the £ sign an acceptable character?

Thanks

Ken

Re: Currency symbol "£"

I think you must be talking about the spellchecker in the wysiwyg editor that underlines words it thinks are misspelled. You can ignore that, its just to draw your attention to what the editor thinks might be a misspelling. If you right click a word it has underlines it will show you spelling suggestion. ie as I'm posting this both "spellchecker" and "wysiwyg" are underlined. Nothing to worry about, ignore it.

Hi Ken

Seems you are configuring mojo for use in the UK. You might be interested in this note about how to set the CKEditor spell-checkers for UK English. http://www.esdm.co.uk/how-to-set-the-spell-checking-language-in-ckeditor-as-used-in-mojoportal

However, a quick test shows that while $5 is OK, it still doesn't understand £5.
