Form Wizard Pro - browse submissions error

When viewing submissions in the "administration" area of the form wizard pro the "browse submissions" link throws an error.

Clicking on any record displays this error:
TypeError: Unable to get value of the property 'substring': object is null or undefined

This is the only view option that also shows the attachments, so it's the most important view (for our particular need).

Mojo: 2-3-9-7, FormWizard: 2-6-1-1

Re: Form Wizard Pro - browse submissions error

I cannot fix old versions if there is/was a problem. I suggest upgrade to the latest versions of mojoPortal and Form Wizard Pro and see if the problem persists. I'm not able to replicate it in the latest version but if you continue having problems after upgrading then post more of the error stack trace and I will look further into it.

Best,

Joe

Re: Form Wizard Pro - browse submissions error

This error still persists and everything is upgraded to the latest. Something strange is that in one install it works fine and another one (same versions) it produces the error (TypeError: Unable to get value of the property 'substring': object is null or undefined).

I tried creating a new, two field form on the site as a test and it still errors out.

This isn't as urgent anymore since the upload feature is working but want to let you know about it. Must be something. The strange part is why it would work on one install but not another.

Re: Form Wizard Pro - browse submissions error

can you post a bit more of the error stack trace to help me figure out where the error is happening?

Re: Form Wizard Pro - browse submissions error

Nothing appears in the system log. Here's a screenshot of the error:

Re: Form Wizard Pro - browse submissions error

The error screen shots shows there are 126 responses ie 126 pages, 1 per page

Does the same error appear on every page number?

Has the form been modified after receiving submissions (which creates orphan responses)?

Can you purge any orphans and see if it fixes it?

Does the problem happen on a new instance of form wizard?

Can you export the data? In browsing the exported data is there any data that looks unusual?

If it only affects one form instance I would consider exporting all the submission data and then purging it and see if the problem continues.

If you can come up with any repeatable way to cause the problem let me know or email me the form definition. If I could get this to happen on my machine I could figure out what is happening, but looking at the code I can't find anything that explains what is happening in the screen shot.

Re: Form Wizard Pro - browse submissions error

I kind of explained above, but yes the error occurs even on a brand new module placement with a couple test fields. No matter what I do and how I place new versions of a form I get that error. The error showed on every page number, every response and for every form instance on the site.

It only happens with this one site, another site in the same installation works fine. To me that is what's so strange. There must be something conflicting.

Since the email attachments are now working this isn't a huge issue for us any longer. I mostly wanted to bring it to your attention. I can't think why only this one site would have an issue. Don't sweat it I guess, but if you need me to troubleshoot or try anything just ask.

Thanks,
