Existing Custom Machine Key on a new Server

Hi,
a friend of mine wants to move to another provider.
I did it successful with another site before, but with the the original machine key.
This time the web.config has already a custom key, generated on the former server.
Will it work on the new server?
Best
Matthias

Re: Existing Custom Machine Key on a new Server

Hi Matthias,

It should work fine, it does not matter what machine the key was generated on.

Best,

Joe
