mojoPortal Documentation like page - HOW?

Hi Joe,

Is it possible to create site page with mojoPortal Documentation like structure & navigation panel (table of contents)?

Thank you!

Re: mojoPortal Documentation like page - HOW?

Of course it is. This site is using mojoPortal.

For a page that has no content of its own but is just a parent page you can enable the Child Page Site Map in page settings or add one to the page from "Edit This Page" by choosing Child Page Site Map from the feature list dropdown.

Hope that helps,

Joe

Re: mojoPortal Documentation like page - HOW?

Those are just links to pages, you don't know how to create pages in mojoPortal?

If you don't know how to create pages these youtube videos should help. The videos are older so the icons shown in the video are not what is used these days, in most of the skins we have a toolbar at the bottom instead of the icons shown in the videos. See this video and this one.

Hope that helps,

Joe

Re: mojoPortal Documentation like page - HOW?

I'm not a Web-developer, I'm just PC developer. So I can be disturbed with simple Web-things.

As I understood, table of contents at the left column of each page of documentation is a small links-tree module like site-map. It automaticaly creates links-tree, collapse/expand some needed branches (depends of current visible documentation page in hierarchy). What is it this module? As I understand, I need to add it to each documentation page, but it must show current viewable page in documentation hierarchy.

Thank you!

Re: mojoPortal Documentation like page - HOW?

The list of pages on the left is just a menu, the one in the middle on pages that are only parent pages would be the child pages site map which is similar to a menu but not exactly the same thing.

There are lots of different ways that menus can be configured, that is a design issue. Most of the skins that ship with mojoPortal already have menu configuration to show child pages of the current page on the left. So you just create the page hierarchy and the pages will automatically appear in the menu, when you visit a page with child pages then a vertical menu will be shown on the left with those pages.
