How large of a VPS do I need?

Hi all,

I'm considering running a relatively small, low-traffic mojoPortal site (brettle.com) on a Xen-based VPS.  Anyone have any experience with this?  How much RAM and disk does your VPS have, and what OS are you running?

Thanks,

Re: How large of a VPS do I need?

I'm curious to hear any experiences on this too.

I'm running a VPS 3 from 1and1 (Windows Server 2003). I've got SQLExpress and MySql running on it and about 5-6 sites including joeaudette.com, demo.mojoportal.com, storedemo.mojoportal.com, and some demos for my clients. The VPS has a 500mb ram minimum and 50gb disk. It comes with only 1 fixed ip address. Seems to work pretty well so far, though I wish I could get more ram.

96MB of RAM is definitely not enough.

Based on very preliminary testing on a Linode 360 account, 360MB of RAM seems to be enough.  Less RAM (e.g. the 256MB which is more common with other VPS accounts) might work as well.  Not sure.
